JONESBORO, Ark. (7/14/25) – Arkansas State bowling head coach Justin Kostick announced Monday the hiring of Mike Conn to his staff as assistant coach.
“We are thrilled to have Mike join our program as assistant coach,” said Kostick. “Mike has demonstrated success in his previous stops as a coach and his experiences as a player will also be valuable to our program. He will be a tremendous asset to our program.”
Conn most recently has served the last three seasons with the men’s and women’s teams at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). SCAD men’s and women’s bowling teams won the Southern States Athletic Conference title this past. The women’s team earned back-to-back NAIA National Championships in 2023 and 2024 while the men earned the NAIA crown in 2024. Conn is a two-time Southern States Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
“I’m excited to experience the highest level of collegiate bowling and the memories that will be created,” said Conn. “I know what Justin brings to the table, and I believe I can provide additional knowledge and experience to bring more prestige to this well-established program.”
As a player, Conn owns more than 50 300 games and has 30 800 series. He was a 2024 USBC Open Championships Team winner. He was the 2009 Junior Gold Champion and member of Team USA in 2009 and 2010. He bowled collegiately at Bellarmine University from 2008-10 and Morehead State from 2011-13. He was tabbed all-American three times, second team in 2010 and first team in 2012 and 2013.
