JONESBORO, Ark. (5/17/22) – The 23rd Annual Arkansas State University Sports Medicine Golf Scramble is set for Monday, June 6, at the Jonesboro Country Club, and registration is currently open for the event directly benefitting the Red Wolves’ student-athletes through the Athletics Department’s sports medicine and athletic training program.

The tournament proceeds provide therapeutic and rehabilitation equipment necessary in caring for injured A-State student-athletes, as well as quality clinical experiences for sports medicine students.  Athletic training encompasses the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions.

The cost for this year’s event is $85 per individual or $340 for a four-person team entry, and both include golf, a golf cart(s) and lunch.

Multiple sponsorship packages are available for the scramble, including the “Major Sponsor” option for $1,000 that provides entry fee for four players, prominent signage on both a tee and green, and a banner placed in the clubhouse.  The “Corporate Sponsor” package is $500, which covers the entry fee for four players and two signs on a tee and/or green.  Tee or green sponsorships are also available for $100 each.

Registration forms should be mailed to:  Ron Carroll, P.O. Box 480, State University, AR 72467.  The forms can be found online by accessing the Sports Medicine link located on the “Inside Athletics” drop-down menu of the AStateRedWolves.com web site.  For registration after May 31, please call 870-243-4705.

An awards presentation will be held immediately following the conclusion of the scramble with prizes awarded to the top three teams.  Several specialty prizes will also be awarded for specific holes.
