One of the biggest headlines coming out of the first annual Netflix Is A Joke Fest was that brazen attack of Dave Chappelle. But don’t expect to see that on the streaming service. Even before the festival began, which ran in various venues from April 28th through May 8th, Netflix made it clear that Chappelle’s four sold out shows at the Hollywood Bowl would not be filmed for future Netflix specials.

Chappelle did have his own cameras there to film his performance, as he was working out new material. And apparently there are some professional shots of the attack, and it’s possible that Netflix could utilize it in some way later. But in the meantime, if you missed it, Chappelle was in the middle of his set, when a 23 year old man named Isaiah Lee jumped on stage and tackled the comedian. He was quickly pulled off Chappelle by security and taken into custody by the LA County Sheriff’s Office. He was booked on a single felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon. His bail has been set at $30,000.

Sherri Shepherd got the cold shoulder from Wendy Williams after the veteran host said she wouldn’t be watching Sherri’s upcoming talk show. Sherri responded to Williams on Saturday by telling her fans on Instagram she was truly concerned about the 57 year old host, whose talk show she will be replacing starting in the fall. Sherri said she understood why Wendy would not be watching her show, but she did want everybody to pray for Wendy.
