JONESBORO, Ark. (4/24/18) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team announced Tuesday that Sheila Sutfin has chosen to continue her bowling career as a member of the Red Wolves starting with the 2018-19 season.
Sutfin, a native of Naperville, Ill., prepped at Neuqua Valley High School, where she was a four-year varsity starter for the Wildcats. She was a DuPage Valley Conference (DVC) All-Conference selection as a senior and was also a member of the DVC All-Academic team. “Sheila has a nice, fundamental game and she has all the qualities we look for in a player,” A-State head women’s bowling coach Justin Kostick said. “I’m excited to see what she can bring to the team and glad to add her to this class.”
Additionally, Sutfin was named the Athlete of the Season this year by the Neuqua Valley Booster Club and was the Most Valuable Bowler for the squad during the 2016-17 season.
