SECOND TO NONE PODCAST
It was great to spend some time in the EAB radio studio last Friday, joining Matt Stolz and Brad Bobo on the Second To None Podcast that highlights our Athletics Department, programs, student-athletes, coaches and more on a weekly basis. We covered a lot of ground over the course of the conversation, so it proved to be a great opportunity to provide a lot of updates about A-State Athletics. There are 71 episodes available, and you can access all the content from the first show to the latest by visiting https://linktr.ee/Secondtononepod. You can also follow the podcast on Twitter at @2ndToNonePod.
FOOTBALL ALL-SUN BELT, SENIORS & SURVEY
Congratulations to our eight football student-athletes named to the All-Sun Belt Conference Team, and thank you to our seniors for their contributions to our football program. Our coaches are on the road recruiting this week and next, and we’re looking forward to hosting official visits here this weekend with National Signing Day approaching. We had the No. 1 recruiting class in the Sun Belt Conference last year, and this year’s recruitment is shaping up to provide another strong class of Red Wolves.
We want to thank our season ticket holders for their support! Our Athletics Department is in the process of sending a survey to all our season ticket holders, asking for meaningful feedback about their football game-day experience. As we conduct a comprehensive review of all our game-day processes, input from our fans will be an important component to adjustments and new initiatives for the 2023 season.
All the way from tailgating to Red Wolf Walk to in-game elements, it’s our goal to provide the best opportunity for an enjoyable and entertaining fan experience.
BASKETBALL TICKET PROMOTIONS
Our Athletics Department is excited to announce several basketball ticket promotions covering the month of December as well as the rest of the men’s and women’s basketball season. Completing a fantastic first season with our football program, kicker Dominic Zvada was named to the College Football News (CFN) Freshman All-America Team this week. He was also named First Team All-Sun Belt Conference last week and to the Pro Football Focus (PFF) College All-True Freshman Team. Congrats Dominic!
Congrats to sophomore Abigail Miller, who became the fourth player in our women’s soccer program’s history to earn United States Soccer Coaches All-Region honors. She started all 18 games for us, logging 1452 out of 1620 minutes of action and helping our Red Wolves post four shutouts in league play and seven total on the season.
Arkansas State University will hold its 2022 Fall Commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 17, at 10:00 a.m. at First National Bank Arena, and we’re looking forward to seeing another fantastic group of our student-athletes walk across the stage. More information about Fall Commencement can be found here.
