JONESBORO, Ark. (6/13/23) – Following a runner-up finish at the National Collegiate Bowling Championship for the third time in program history, seven members of the Arkansas State bowling team earned Southland Bowling League All-Academic recognition, the league office announced Thursday.
Shalee Bradley, Vanessa Noftsier, Sarah Sanes, Emma Stull, Maggie Thoma, Karli VanDuinen and Faith Welch each earned the academic honor. The SBL Academic Honor Roll was put into place during the 2018-19 school year. All nominees for the Southland Bowling League’s Academic Honor Rolle team must have earned at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and demonstrated athletics achievement for at least one year at the nominating institution.
Bradley possesses a 3.20 GPA in psychology while Noftsider registered a 3.02 GPA in criminology. Sanes posted a 3.36 GPA in creative media production, Stull had a 3.63 GPA in psychology, Thoma a 3.04 GPA in radiological sciences, VanDuinen a 3.85 GPA in sports management and Welch a 3.61 GPA in psychology.
