JONESBORO, Ark. (10/14/22) – Posting a Sun Belt Conference all-time best 12-under par 54-hole total at the Lady Red Wolves Classic this week, Arkansas State women’s golfer Olivia Schmidt has been tabbed the Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Week.
Setting the school record low 54-hole total at 12-under par 204, Schmidt also set the best round in Sun Belt Conference history according to the NCAA Women’s Golf record book maintained by Duke. Schmidt continues to rewrite the record books as she won her fourth career individual medalist honors to tie the program record.
Schmidt won the Lady Red Wolves Classic by four strokes, posting three consecutive rounds in the 60s, including a 5-under par 67 in the first round. She had two eagles and 12 birdies on the week and just four bogeys in the 54-hole event.
A-State closes out the fall portion of the schedule Oct. 21-23 at the White Sands Bahamas Invitational hosted by Little Rock at the Ocean Course in Paradise Island, Bahamas.
