Carla Wehmeyer – Arkansas State

JONESBORO, Ark. (4/13/23) – Turning in three consecutive rounds under par, Arkansas State men’s golfer Thomas Schmidt has been named Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.

Schmidt continued a productive freshman campaign with a season-best 5-under par 67 to open competition at the Tiger Intercollegiate. He followed with a 4-under par 68 and 1-under par 71 to total 10-under par 206, the seventh-lowest 54-hole total in program history. Schmidt tied for eighth in the individual standings and helped the Red Wolves earn five top-100 wins.
