JONESBORO, Ark. (5/19/23) – Arkansas State women’s golf senior Olivia Schmidt was named Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference, the league office announced Friday.
Schmidt becomes A-State’s first three-time All-Conference selection since Amanda Beeler (1998-01) and third player in program history to earn three or more All-Conference nods joining Beeler and Rachel Stewart (1994-97).
Schmidt closed out an impressive A-State career with seven career records, eight single-season records and the low round, low 36-hole total and low 54-hole total to her credit. This season, Schmidt ranked third in the league with a 73.12 stroke average. In 33 rounds played, Schmidt turned in a par or better round in 14 earning a top 25 finish in 10 of 11 tournaments, including a tie for sixth at the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
The Sun Belt Conference determines All-Conference teams based upon individual Golfstat rankings.
