FRESNO, Calif. (3/28/23) – The Arkansas State women’s golf team finished tied for 10th among 15 teams at the Fresno State Classic that concluded Tuesday at San Joaquin Country Club.
A-State shot a third consecutive 15-over par 303 to total 909 for the tournament and tied with Iowa for 10th. Host Fresno State finished at 23-over par 887 to win the event while Grand Canyon and UC-Riverside tied for second at 28-over par 892.
Morgan Beaulieu bounced back after a rough start and led A-State with a 1-over par 73 Tuesday to finish tied for 60th overall with a total of 234 (78-83-73). Elise Schultz was the top finisher overall as she finished tied for 24th with a total of 227 (75-76-76) while Olivia Schmidt (72-77-79) and Charlotte Menager (78-73-77) tied for 28th with a total of 228. Casey Sommer totaled 232 (78-77-77) to tie for 49th and Kayla Burke played as an individual and tied for 55th with a total of 233 (74-79-80).
