HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (10/24/23) – Posting the second-lowest 54-hole total in program history, the Arkansas State women’s golf team finished fifth among 17 teams at the Diamante Intercollegiate that concluded Tuesday at Diamante Country Club.
A-State totaled even-par 864 for the tournament, tied for the second-lowest 54-hole total in program history behind the 14-under 850 last season at the USA Intercollegiate. California Baptist won the event at 26-under with Boston College (-23), Central Arkansas (-14) and host Little Rock (-1) completing the top four.
Finishing tied for third at 8-under 208 (66-72-70), Elise Schultz tied the second-lowest individual 54-hole total in program history. Anne-Lea Lavoie tied for 20th at 2-under par 214 (71-72-71) and Ashley Kim tied for 25th at even-par 216 (74-67-75). Morgan Beaulieu (+4) tied for 46th while Olivia Coit (+5) and Charlotte Menager (+5) tied for 50th. Shannon Berry (+23) tied for 92nd.
A-State completes the fall portion of the schedule with a stroke average of 294.47, nearly two strokes better than the program record for a season. The Red Wolves begin their spring slate Feb. 12-13 at The Atlantic Invitational in Lake Worth, Fla.
