This Sunday, the Emmys go virtual with a record number of Black actors receiving nods; 34.3% of the 102 acting nominations, a significant jump from 2019.
Many first-timers are in the run this year including Zendaya, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Euphoria, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for Watchmen, and Jeremy Pope, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie, for Hollywood.
Longtime favorites are also in the mix, including Regina King, Don Cheadle, and Cicely Tyson.

Jimmy Kimmel hosts the 72nd Emmys Sunday at 8 PM on ABC.
