Uncle Charlie is back with a new song and he’s brought some friends along to help him with it. Charlie Wilson is bringing this week’s New Grove @ 2 – “No Stoppin Us”, featuring Babyface, K-Ci, and Johnny Gill.

      There’s No Stoppin’ Charlie Wilson

Even in his late 60s, Charlie Wilson is continuing to make catchy, sensual music for current and new fans. Wilson has had a long career in music, first starting with his time being the lead singer in The Gap Band along side his brothers Ronnie and Robert.

Since the 90s, Wilson started going out on his own, producing several albums. His latest, In It To Win It, was released back in 2017 and featured the Grammy nominated song he did with Lalah Hathaway “Made for Love.”

Wilson and Friends Spread A Little Culture

Charlie Wilson in February 2022 began touring with other heavy hitters in R&B in a show called “The Culture Tour”. He’s performing along side 80s supergroup New Edition and 90s powerhouse Jodeci. While on tour, Wilson joined up with New Edition’s Johnny Gill and K-Ci of Jodeci to produce this latest single “No Stoppin’ Us”.

The song also includes legendary producer, singer-songwriter Babyface, who also produced the track. Wilson and company perform the single which is inspired by the 1979 hit “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now”, originally performed by McFadden and Whitehead.

Do you want to stop this new groove?
