Tens of thousand gathered wearing masks in front of the Lincoln Memorial and the reflecting pool to hear speakers commemorate the March on Washington led by Rev. Martin Luther King on August 28, 1963. Speakers included Rev. Al Sharpton, BeBeWinans, Martin Luther King III, Yolanda Renee King, and Philonise Floyd, brother of the late George Floyd.

Media assembled at the White House asked President Trump for for his thoughts on the March in Washington, but he did not answer or acknowledge the march.

Instead, President Trump took the opportunity to pardon Alice Johnson, who had served prison time on drug charges and has become a criminal justice reform advocate.
