Hyde Amendment Draws Scrutiny for Election 2020

As the abortion debate continues and states challenge Roe V. Wade, the Hyde Amendment, which eliminates the use of any federal funds for abortions, is being lost in the conversation. The Hyde Amendment was on the table last week as Democratic candidate Joe Biden decided to abandon his support for Hyde after he learned of its discriminatory nature. Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-TX), who is supporting Kamala Harris (D-CA) for president, is working to repeal the Hyde Amendment.
