JONESBORO, Ark. (3/30/22) – Arkansas State Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Tom Bowen has announced that Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) Amy Holt, a member of the Red Wolves’ administration the past nine years, is transitioning into a development position in conjunction with a completed restructuring of the Red Wolves Foundation.

Holt will maintain her SWA title, but will exchange the majority of her previous internal oversight and responsibilities for an external role focused on fundraising as the Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development.  Including her time as a member of A-State’s senior leadership team, Holt owns over 25 years of experience in collegiate athletics as a coach and administrator with previous stops at Kansas (1997-2013) and Eastern Kentucky (1995-97).

“We are fortunate to have someone on our staff such as Amy who is extremely versatile and knowledgeable with a diverse skill set to make a positive impact in multiple areas of our Athletics Department,” said Bowen.  “While Amy primarily oversaw multiple internal areas previously, she has always had an external presence for our Athletics Department.

“Given that she has developed many strong relationships with our A-State supporters, is highly respected in the community and is an outstanding communicator, her ability to make a strong impact on our fundraising opportunities and donor engagement was something we had to act on.  Although her day-to-day role on our staff has evolved, we look forward to her continued leadership within our entire department.”

Holt will join Wes England, Cole Chisholm and Maddie Stein as the senior administrators of A-State’s development team and have high involvement in the Red Wolves Foundation, the primary fundraising arm of A-State Athletics.

“I couldn’t be more excited for this next step to be part of our development team,” said Holt.  “I want to thank Tom Bowen for having the confidence in me to help move our program forward in this new role.  I’m looking forward to having additional engagement with our current donors and building more relationships in our A-State community, while also working with our coaches to help provide resources that will impact the lives of our student-athletes.”

Holt’s responsibilities won’t be limited to major giving, but have a high concentration on the area that is one of three divisions within development.  She will help oversee the major giving space alongside England, who is A-State’s Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development, Major Gifts and Donor Relations.  The area will also feature additional personnel with a development expansion process underway.

In addition to Major Giving, A-State’s development framework has also been split into two additional areas that includes Annual Giving and Development Operations and Foundation Administration and Donor/Letterwinner Engagement.

Chisholm serves as Assistant Athletics Director for Annual Fund and Development Operations, while Zach Patterson is the Red Wolves’ Director of Annual Fund and Premium Seating.  Ian Benner serves as Ticket Sales Coordinator, and an additional coordinator position will assist in development operations.

Completing the entire development structure, the Administration and Donor/Letterwinner Engagement area includes three positions.  Stein serves as Assistant Athletics Director for Development, Shawna Barber operates as Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Red Wolves Foundation, and Gina Winchester is the Executive Director of Red Wolves Foundation Operations.

The changes with A-State’s development areas and Red Wolves Foundation are designed to not only increase synergy, production and efficiency, but also to allow for complete transparency and clarity for the Red Wolves’ donors and ticket holders.

Below is a breakdown of each area’s oversight and personnel, who will all remain available to assist with any development and/or Red Wolves Foundation matter regardless of specific oversight.  Fans can be directed to personnel in each area by calling 870-972-2401 or visiting the AStateRedWolves.com staff directory.
