HBCUs Receive Financial Boost from Black Greek Organization

An effort to uplift several ailing HBCU’s from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. AKA launched a fund drive in Fall 2018 which has now raised over $1 million dollars to be dispersed to schools over a 10 year period. Two years ago, the White House pledged funding for HBCUs, which has gone unfulfilled.

AKA International President Dr. Glenda Glover, who also serves as Tennessee State University president speaks with AURN Washington Bureau Chief and HBCU alumna April Ryan.
