JONESBORO – The public is invited to Arkansas State University Museum for a cultural event and highlight on the museum program schedule, “Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).”

Scheduled for Friday, Nov. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m., this Hispanic/Latino celebration brings family and friends together to participate in festivities and to remember those who have passed on.
“Far from a sorrowful affair, Day of the Dead is in actuality a tribute to life,” stated Jill Kary, curator of education. “With sugar-skull face painting, music, delicious refreshments and more, Día de los Muertos offers non-stop fun for visitors of all ages. The centerpiece of the evening will be an elaborate Day of the Dead altar on which guests may leave hand- written notes to deceased loved ones.”
Admission is free. For more details, one may contact Kary, [email protected] or (870) 972-2074.
