LINCOLN, NEB. (3/1/20) – Taylor Davis earned MVP honors as the Arkansas State Women’s bowling team earned a third-place finish Sunday, at the Big Red Invitational in Lincoln, Neb.
“We learned a lot about our team over the weekend,” said A-State head bowling coach Justin Kostick. “It’s not the result we wanted but we learned things about ourselves that will help us in the future. I am very proud of Taylor Davis for earning MVP honors.
Davison, Mich., native Davis earned MVP honors, after she knocked down 1,144 pins for an impressive 228.80 average.
To kick of the final day of competition, Arkansas State defeated Prairie View A&M 4-1, to advance to the second round to face Youngstown State. In the second round, Arkansas State fell 4-2 to the Penguins.
The Red Wolves defeated familiar foe Prairie View A&M in six, to earn third place.
The Arkansas State bowling team will return to action March, when it competes in the Music City Classic.
