Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Mike Braun (R-IN) today introduced a resolution honoring members of the military and intelligence community who carried out the mission that killed ISIS leader Abu al-Baghdadi and commending President Trump for his leadership in this matter. The text of the resolution may be found here.

Senator Cotton also spoke on the Senate floor in favor of the resolution. Following the resolution’s passage, Senator Cotton released the following statement:

“ISIS slavemaster Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead thanks to the brave men, women, and K-9s of the United States Armed Forces. Our resolution commends the president for his decisive leadership in ordering this raid and honors members of the military and intelligence community who boldly carried it out.”
