Boozman Statement on Apprehension of Bombing Suspect

Written by Press Release

October 29, 2018

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) released the following statement regarding the announcement by federal law enforcement officials that a suspect has been apprehended and charged with sending explosives to prominent officials:

“Political violence has no place in our society and must be rejected in any and every setting. Americans hold vastly different political opinions and beliefs, but we must always choose to express them in a manner that upholds the rights and freedoms we hold dear. We must also hold those who resort to tactics of terror and violence accountable for their actions. I am grateful no one has been seriously harmed or injured during these events and thank all law enforcement involved for their swift, methodical action over the course of this investigation.”
