
JONESBORO, Ark. (1/229/21) – The Arkansas State Women’s bowling team is in first place, with a 3-2 record, after the first day of competition at the Prairie View A&M Invitational, in Dallas Texas.
“We got off to a slow start,” said A-State head bowling coach Justin Kostick. “But the team battled through and when the lanes came to us we took advantage. Tonight, we will rest and prep for day two of competition.”
The Red Wolves competed in five baker format matches, registering a 4,972 total pinfall to go along with a 198.8 average.
A-State will continue action at the Prairie View A&M Invitational, Saturday, Jan. 29, when it competes in traditional style matches at USA Bowl, beginning at 9:16 a.m. Sunday’s three best-of-seven Baker format matches.
