Arkansas District Miss Black & Gold Hosts Book Drive

Written by LaGanzie Kale

April 3, 2018

In honor of World Book Day (Monday, April 23), Miss Black and Gold representing the Arkansas District, Destini Lattimore, is having a book drive to collect children’s books to donate them to local elementary schools.

Starting today and ending April 22, the Theta Upsilon chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will collect books on the first floor of the Reng Student Union at Arkansas State University. The books will then be delivered to the elementary schools of our choice.

We have a very high goal (500 books) but we know this is possible if we have all hands on deck!
On World Book Day, Destini Lattimore will be accompanying her local chapter to deliver the books to the elementary schools and will do a class reading, as well.
We would really appreciate your help in reaching our goal! #WorldBookDay #MissBlackandGold
