JONESBORO, Ark. (2/15/23) – After moving up in the record books this past weekend, Arkansas State pole vaulter Bradley Jelmert garnered Wednesday’s Sun Belt Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honor.
Jelmert cleared 5.46m (17-11) to win the men’s pole vault on Saturday at the Indoor Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kan. His mark set a meet and facility-record in the event and propelled him to fourth in A-State indoor history.
The Watchung, N.J., native has finished inside the top five in four of five meets this season, including a finish of third or better three times. He enters the conference championships ranked second in the league.

The Red Wolves look to continue their run of success at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships, held Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 20-21, at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala. A-State is looking to defend three straight sweeps of the team crowns.
