JONESBORO, Ark. (11/9/22) – After leading the Arkansas State men’s cross country team to its second consecutive Sun Belt Conference title, a pair of Red Wolves received postseason honors, the league office announced Wednesday.
A-State Head Cross Country Coach Jesse Duvall was named the conference’s Men’s Coach of the Year for the second straight year, while sophomore Rylan Brown earned Men’s Newcomer of the Year laurels.
Duvall’s honor is his second on the men’s side, while it is his fifth overall and fourth straight year in which he has earned at least one of the two Coach of the Year honors.
Brown finished 12th at the Sun Belt Conference Championships, running an 8K time of 25:58.4 and earning Third Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors.

The Red Wolves will vie for a coveted spot in the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Friday, competing in the NCAA South Central Regional Championships. Held at the Watts Cross Country Course in Bryan-College Station, Texas, start time is slated for 9:15 a.m.
