A-State Women’s Tennis Closes Fall Slate with 10 Victories at Wofford Fall Invitational

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (11/10/19) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team closed the 2019 fall season at the 2019 Wofford Fall Invite with 10 victories over the three-day event.  

A-State picked up three wins in doubles play, with the duo of Berta Masdevall Masip and Pornpawee Pramethong winning two of those matches. Masdevall Masip and Pramethong picked up wins over a pair from host Wofford (7-5) and Western Carolina (6-2).  Eliza Babos and Jill Morse also earned a doubles’ win, earning a 6-3 decision over a different duo from Wofford.

In singles play, Masdevall Masip and Shannon O’Brien each posted two victories while Pramethong, Jill Morse, and Shelby King added wins as well. Masdevall Masip defeated Jordyn King from Western Carolina 6-3, 7-6 (3) and got past Daniela Naupari of Gardner-Webb 6-4, 6-1. O’Brien defeated Maria Jardim of South Carolina Upstate 6-1, 2-6, 10-6 and Lauren Watson-Steele of UNC-Asheville 6-1, 6-2.
