JONESBORO, Ark. (2/13/25) – Arkansas State track and field will be spread out among three different meets this weekend as it competes in its final meets ahead of the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships.
A host of Red Wolves will travel to Nashville, Tenn., for the Music City Challenge, while A-State’s distance athletes will compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, and vertical jumpers and multi-eventists set to compete at the Samford Bulldog Invite on Friday in Birmingham, Ala.
Competition begins Friday in Nashville at 10 a.m. with field events, and the first event on the track slated for a 4:45 start. Both days will be streamed live on SEC Network+. In Boston, A-State’s men will run Friday with the women to follow on Saturday, while the Red Wolves open Friday’s Bulldog Invitational inside the Birmingham Crossplex at noon with the 60-meter prelims.

THREE THINGS TO NOTE:
2. #EVENTSQUAD: Arkansas State has three event groups ranked among the top 15 nationally in this season’s third installment of the USTFCCCA #EventSquad Rankings, which ranks the top event groups based upon its best four performers. A-State is 12th in the men’s pole vault, while ranking 14th in both the men’s 60-meter hurdles and shot put.
3. ONE FINAL PRE-CONFERENCE TUNEUP: This weekend represents Arkansas State’s final meets ahead of the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championships, which are set for Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 24-25, at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. A-State is seeking its sixth straight sweep of the indoor championships and extending its unprecedented run at the meet.
