HENDERSON, Nev. (2/27/23) – Beginning the spring portion of the 2022-23 season, the Arkansas State men’s golf team turned in a 3-over par 291 and stands tied for ninth among 15 teams at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate played at Reflection Bay Golf Club.
A-State stands tied for ninth, one stroke behind South Florida for eighth while UAB, Louisiana and Kentucky are tied for fifth at 1-under par 287. Long Beach State holds the lead at 10-par 278 with Little Rock and Michigan tied for second one shot off the pace. New Mexico State is fourth at 5-under par 283.
Thomas Schmidt paced A-State with a 3-under par 69 and is tied for fifth while Luka Naglic is tied for 36th at 1-over par 73. Jack Madden was 2-over par 74 to tie for 48th and Pierce Johnson was 3-over par 75 to tie for 60th. Jack Maxey turned in a 5-over par 77 and is tied for 68th to round out the five players for team scoring. Playing as individuals, Devyn Pappas shot an even-par 72 and is tied for 32nd while Felix Krammer was 1-over par to tie for 36th.
