A-State Student-Athletes Receive Degrees at Summer Commencement

August 3, 2018

JONESBORO, Ark. (8/3/18) – Arkansas State University held its 2018 Summer Commencement ceremony Friday evening at First National Bank Arena, and 23 more student-athletes from the Red Wolves’ NCAA intercollegiate sports programs have now earned their college degrees.

The most recent group of A-State student-athletes to receive their degrees represented the sports of men’s track and field (6), women’s track and field (6), baseball (4), football (3), women’s soccer (1), men’s basketball (1) and volleyball (1). Three student-athletes earned their master’s degrees, including Katon Hill (football, Sports Administration), Bailey Reed (soccer, Sport Administration), Samone Thompson (women’s track and field, Sport Administration) and Hannah Dunderdale (women’s track and field, Exercise Science).

Earning their bachelor’s degrees were Jaylen Bacon (men’s track and field, Creative Media Production), Jeremy Brown (baseball, Criminology), Tamas Bruce (men’s basketball, General Studies), Calea Carr (women’s track and field, English), Caleb Caston (football, Exercise Science), Jarrod Chandler (football, Sport Management), Trevene Cowan (women’s track and field, Exercise Science), Darragh May (women’s track and field, General Studies), Anna Murphy (volleyball, Radiological Science), Zachary Patterson (baseball, Exercise Science), Jamil Peeples (men’s track and field, General Studies), David Philips (men’s track and field, Management), Cristian Ravar Ladislau (men’s track and field, Exercise Science), Elijah Ross (men’s track and field, History), Casey Vaughan (baseball, Exercise Science), De’Airis Weakley (women’s track and field, Accounting), Winston Welch (baseball, Management), Jonah Wiley (men’s track and field, Communication Studies) and Sterling Wright (football, General Studies).
