VAIL, Colo. (9/27/23) – Closing out play at Red Sky Country Club, the Arkansas State women’s golf team finished tied for sixth among 16 teams at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic.
A-State carded a final round 6-over par 294, its second-lowest round of the season, to join Central Arkansas and High Point in a tie for sixth at 31-over par 895 for the tournament. Pepperdine finished even-par 864 to win the event with New Mexico State (+10), Kennesaw State (+24), Boise State (+28) and Mercer (+29) comprising the top five.
Charlotte Menager finished even-par in the third round to finish up with a total of 4-over par 220 (69-79-72) for 16th individually. Olivia Coit tied for 17th at 5-over par 221 (72-73-76) for her fourth career top-25 finish. Anne-Lea Lavoie turned in her best round of the event at even-par 72 Wednesday and finished tied for 27th with a total of 9-over par 225 (74-79-72). Ashley Kim (+15) and Madison Tenore (+19) finished tied for 50th and tied for 60th, respectively.
A-State returns to action Oct. 9-10 in Tulsa, Okla., for the Dale McNamara Invitational. The Lady Red Wolves Classic is Oct. 16-17 at Sage Meadows Country Club.
