JONESBORO, Ark. (9/17/20) – Arkansas State Athletics announced Thursday that it has partnered with StadiumDrop to provide in-seat delivery and contactless payment, as well as pick-up options, to the A-State athletics venues beginning this fall.
Starting in fall 2020, A-State Athletics and Sodexo will utilize the Frisco, Texas-based StadiumDrop to help improve fans’ concessions experiences. The app allows fans to access concessions via mobile devices, thus giving them the ability to skip long lines, stay in the moment and have the peace of mind for safe and effective food delivery.
“Sodexo is very excited to be able to work with A-State Athletics and Stadium Drop,” Justin Lewandowski, concessions general manager for Sodexo, said. “This exciting new service will allow fans to spend more time in their seats, watching the game with their friends and family. In-seat service has been something we have always wanted to try, and we are happy to be able to bring this service to the Red Wolves fans!”
Under this partnership, fans will now enjoy several options to improve their experience, including the ability to order their favorite concession items and have it delivered directly to their seat. Other options for a speedy concessions experience will include DropZone areas for limited physical contact pick-up, express lanes which will allow fans to order ahead, and skip the lines – all available conveniently in the StadiumDrop app.
“We’re eager to bring this service to our stadium,” A-State Associate A.D. for Marketing and Fan Engagement Sarah Munoz said. “It affords our fans an opportunity to order their favorite concession items to be delivered without missing a minute of the game while remaining distanced in-venue. StadiumDrop is part of our plan to help our fans feel comfortable and confident with their gameday experience.”
StadiumDrop’s digital concession technology will provide fans attending A-State Athletics events the ability to identify busier concession times, push notifications to fans for reminders of skipping lines, provide data needed for frequency of orders, hot spots throughout the venues and more consistent information into buying behaviors for fan favorites.
“We are delighted and grateful for this opportunity to partner with A-State Athletics and Sodexo,” StadiumDrop CEO Kristen McAbee said. “Our hope is to enhance a game day atmosphere that is already vibrant with our mobile concession platform, allowing fans the opportunity to make even more memories with their friends and family. It’s important in today’s environment that fans have the opportunity for mobile ordering. We will deliver that very thing.”
StadiumDrop is a peer-to-peer, in-seat, food and beverage order and delivery application that allows fans the ease of ordering stadium concessions, while allowing another fan or volunteer group to deliver the order and earn income.
