JONESBORO, Ark. (8/14/23) – Arkansas State Athletics has announced its full slate of game themes, sponsors and promotional giveaway items for the upcoming football season. For the first time, all six A-State home games will feature a giveaway for fans.
 
Following the Sept. 2 season opener at Oklahoma, the Red Wolves return to Centennial Bank Stadium for the first three-game September homestand in program history. That stretch kicks off Sept. 9 with a 6:00 p.m. matchup against Memphis, which is being presented by St. Bernards.
 
It will be “Paint the Stadium Red Night,” once again capping off the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce’s “Paint the Town Red Week” festivities. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m., and the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a 2023 A-State Football schedule koozie compliments of St. Bernards.
 
On Saturday, Sept. 16, the Red Wolves host Stony Brook in a 6:00 p.m., contest. The game is being presented by Coca-Cola, and the first 1,000 fans will receive a special commemorative Coke bottle featuring the logo celebrating the 50th season being played inside what is now known as Centennial Bank Stadium.
 
The game against Stony Brook will also serve as “Teacher Appreciation Night,” with all area teachers being able to go https://fevo.me/astateteacher and buy discounted tickets. During the game, A-State will present six area teachers with $1,000 “Extra Yard for Teachers” grants. A-State is celebrating 15 years of its Red Wolves nickname and mascot, Howl, this year, and its game on Sept. 16 will also feature “Howl’s Birthday Party.” Howl will be joined by high school mascots from around the area, and members of “Howl’s Pals” kids’ club will be able to enjoy a piece of Howl’s birthday cake.
 
Members of Arkansas State University’s Publications and Creative Services Department will be recognized during the game for their work in the logo change. With firms from across the country vying to create the university’s new logos during the mascot change, it was the work of the Publications and Creative Services crew on-campus that was chosen as the school’s official marks.
 
The three-game homestand wraps up Sept. 23, when the Red Wolves host Southern Miss in the Sun Belt Conference opener. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m., and the game is being presented by Greenway Equipment.
 
When gates open at 4:00 p.m., the first 1,000 fans will get a free cap featuring both the Greenway and Red Wolves logos. It will be Band Day at Centennial Bank Stadium, with the “Sound of the Natural State” being joined by hundreds of high school band members from across the region.
 
Sept. 23 will also cap off Family Weekend at A-State, with discount tickets for parents and family members of Arkansas State students being available for purchase at https://fevo.me/astatefamilyweekend.
 
The A-State Letterman’s Club will also recognize its 2023 Hall of Honor Class during the contest with Southern Miss.
 
The Red Wolves return to Jonesboro on Saturday, Oct. 21, for Homecoming, presented by Barton’s. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m., and 1,000 fans will receive a “50 Seasons Celebration” poster featuring both original and current photos of Centennial Bank Stadium.
 
Homecoming Weekend also features Red Wolves volleyball home matches against Southern Miss at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 19, and Friday, Oct. 20. The football contest with Coastal Carolina will also include the recognition of the 2023 Arkansas State University Homecoming court and the latest class of Distinguished Alumni.
 
The Red Wolves’ two November home contests feature promotional items that fans are sure to enjoy. A-State hosts Louisiana at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 4, for its annual Ag Day game celebrating the important role agriculture plays in the lives of all Arkansans.
 
Heading into that game, fans will be able to purchase a special theme ticket that will include a limited-edition replica of Centennial Bank Stadium. Those fans with season tickets will also get an opportunity to purchase a voucher for one of the replicas. More details on theme ticket and voucher purchases will be available at a later date.
 
The Nov. 18 home finale for A-State will serve as both Fan Appreciation Day and Heroes Day. The 2:00 p.m. contest is being presented by Hytrol and will include Senior Day festivities. Plus, 1,000 fans will receive a collectible bobblehead featuring A-State great and current New Orleans Saints’ All Pro linebacker Demario Davis. Those bobbleheads feature Davis in his #23 jersey he wore at Arkansas State and are courtesy of Kalmer Solutions.
