November 18, 2019

BLYTHEVILLE, AR – Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington announces that the Second Judicial Drug Task Force (DTF), in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security and the Blytheville Police Department, conducted an operation at 200 South Division in Blytheville which resulted in the seizure of 62.7 pounds of methamphetamine, 23 pounds of marijuana, and 2.4 pounds of an undetermined substance suspected to be heroin or cocaine. Randie Booker, 35, and George Green, 49, were arrested during the operation.

The operation was a collaborative effort between the listed agencies. After Homeland Security agents confirmed the presence of controlled substances inside a suspicious shipping container located in Memphis, agents of the 2nd Judicial DTF were contacted and formulated a plan to further the delivery of the container. Numerous officers from the 2nd Judicial DTF, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Blytheville Police Department participated in the operation. According to a supervising DTF agent, the estimated street value of the substances is near one million dollars. Subjects Booker and Green appeared before Blytheville District Judge Shannon Langston and bond was set at one million dollars each. This matter remains an ongoing investigation. All persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
